Covering a total area of 81,915 sq mi, Kansas state has a 1,219 mile-long boundary. Kansas is a Midwestern state with the states of Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Nebraska sharing its borders. While Missouri borders the state on the east, Oklahoma borders it on the southern side. Colorado borders Kansas on the western front, and Nebraska on the northern side.
