Here are the top 10 pork producing countries based on the latest data available (2021):
  • China – 53 million metric tons
  • European Union – 23 million metric tons
  • United States – 11 million metric tons
  • Brazil – 4 million metric tons
  • Russia – 3 million metric tons
  • Vietnam – 3 million metric tons
  • Canada – 2 million metric tons
  • Philippines – 1.5 million metric tons
  • South Korea – 1.4 million metric tons
  • Mexico – 1.3 million metric tons
Pork is one of the most widely consumed meats in the world, and is an important source of protein and nutrients for many people. China is by far the largest producer of pork, accounting for more than half of the world’s production. The European Union and the United States are the second and third largest producers, respectively. Brazil, Russia, Vietnam, Canada, the Philippines, South Korea, and Mexico round out the top 10.
