Millard Fillmore was born in Cayuga county, New York in the year 1800. Millard Fillmore became the 13th President of the United States of America. He served his nation from 1850- 1853.

After the death of President, Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore became the President of United States of America in 1850.He became the Vice President of United States of America on a Whig ticket in the year 1848.

Though he became Vice President as a Whig candidate he was denied nomination in the 1952 Presidential election from the Whig party. Millard Fillmore is the second child of his parents. Nathaniel Millard Fillmore and Phoebe Millard Fillmore were his parents. Millard belonged to a very poor family. In the year, 1828, Millard Fillmore got elected to New York State Assembly. He won the election on the ticket of Anti Masonic Party. He served there for one year ( 1829-1831).

The entry of Texas as the territory of the slaves was strongly opposed by Millard Fillmore in the US Congress. He also became the chairman of United States House Committee on Ways and Means. He served there from 1841- 1843. When Millard Fillmore was the President of USA he skillfully handled the growing partitions within his party ( Whig Party). Millard Fillmore also became the State Comptroller of New York. He served there from 1847-1849. He retooled banking system of New York as a state comptroller. It became an example in the US Banking system. In 1841, Millard Fillmore occupied the second position as House of Representative’s Speaker. Besides being a politician, Millard Fillmore was a lawyer by profession.
