The Rum River of Minnesota drains the counties of Isanti, Mille Lacs, Anoka and Sherburne. The North Fork Crow River flows through the County of Meeker. The state’s namesake river, the Minnesota River, flows across Lac Oui Parle Dam to the Franklin area. The stretch from the Faribault area to the Mississippi River is connected by the Cannon River.
