Arizona, the Grand Canyon State is home to some world-class tourist attractions. The world-famous Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is an interesting place to visit as it houses flora and fauna native to the region. What they say is true; Texas’s answer to Silicon Valley, it is a tech town with a hippie heart. With more than 250 music venues, it is nicknamed “Live Music Capital of the World.” Founded in 1839, it was named after the “Father of Texas” – Stephen F. Austin – and is home to the University of Texas.

Mining tours, observatories, museums, historical sites and most of all miles of shopping attract many tourists from all across the world. Some of the most famous places in the state include:

Windsor Beach :

Located on the north shore of Lake Havasu, the Windsor Beach is administered by the Arizona State Parks Department. A variety of fish are found in the lake such as the largemouth bass, small-mouth bass, striped bass, crappie, sunfish, and the catfish.

Grand Canyon National Park :

Located in Arizona, the Grand Canyon National Park is the fifteenth-oldest national park in the state. It is huge, covering an area of 1,902 square miles. A gorge of the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon lies within the park; it is considered to be one of the wonders of the world.

Red Rock State Park :

One of the most visited places in Arizona, the Red Rock State Park features a red sandstone canyon outside the city of Sedona, which attracts many visitors. It is a great place for bird-watchers, as there are a number of species found, such as the common black hawk, wood duck, and common merganser.

Lowell Observatory :

Home of the Discovery Channel Telescope, Lowell Observatory is located in Flagstaff, Arizona. It is one of the oldest observatories in the United States having a rich history of observations. Founded by Percival Lowell in 1894, the observatory has observations that that led to the discovery of the planet Pluto by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930.

Arizona Capitol Museum :

The Museum displays artifacts that emphasize the history and culture of Arizona from early times to the present. The exhibits include historical figures, story of the statehood of Arizona and also has the grave-site of Wesley Bolin, the governor of Arizona.
