Timor Leste in South East Asia observes a number of holidays that are meant both for the purpose of marking historic events as well as religious celebration. East Timor Holidays include those that are observed in memory of the Freedom struggle. Besides, East Timor Holidays also consists of certain days that are not exactly considered as holidays but such days can be taken off from work.

Besides these holidays, East Timor Holidays also includes Good Friday which is a movable holiday.
Also, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Ascension Day, International Children’s Day, Day of The Armed Forces for the National Liberation of Timor Leste, International Human Right’s Day, National Women’s Day are defined by the Law as “Official Commemorative Dates”.
