Roland Garros is the official name of French Open. The tournament is considered to be amongst the top three tournaments played in the world of tennis. Roland Garros is held annually at Paris in France.
The origin of the Roland Garros as a national tennis tournament can be traced back to 1891.The tournament is included in the schedule of both the Association of Tennis Professionals or ATP and Women’s Tennis Association or WTA program. With the beginning of the Open era in 1968, Roland Garros evolved as the first Grand Slam Open tournament.
