Polva is also called Polvamaa by many local people as well as by tourists. This Estonian county is one among the fifteen counties that make up the country, Estonia. Polva in Estonia is located in the south-eastern part of the country.

The other counties that form borders with this county are Voru, Tartu and Valga. The most interesting part is that the county shares land borders with Russia too. A small portion of the Estonian population is concentrated in the Polva County.

Polva is an important place in Estonia and is distributed into several municipalities. There are rural as well as urban municipalities in the Estonian county of Polva. Like almost all the counties in Estonia, the Governor is the head of the County Government. The governor is elected for a period of five years. There are several companies, educational institutions and high quality emergency services that are present in Polva at Estonia.
