October 26 — Tunisia
More than five million voters of this north African country will choose their parliament. Ennahda, the Islamist party, and Nidaa Tounes, a broad-base alliance, are the two main fronts.
October 26 — Uruguay
Opinion polls show former President Tabare Vazquez will get the maximum votes in the first round, with National party candidate Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou taking second place. Uruguay has approximately 2 million voters.
October 26 — Brazil
With no clear winner in the first round, the second round on October 26 will be a direct contest between the President Dilma Rousseff and her challenger Aécio Neves. Their fate will be decided by more than 140 million voters.
October 26 — Ukraine
With conflict raging on in eastern Ukraine, the country will go to polls to choose its Supreme Council, which was disbanded in August. The separatists plan to hold their own elections in areas under their control. In the 2012 polls, held under relatively peaceful circumstances, Ukraine had 36 million registered voters.
November 2 — Romania
Romania’s Prime Minister Victor Ponta is leading opinion polls as the first round presidential polls approaches. Klaus Iohannis, the mayor of Sibiu, city in Transylvanian and Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, both liberals, are among his main challengers. Registered voters are around 18.5 million.
November 4 — United States
The US midterm elections will see a total of 39 Gubernatorial Polls (15 Democrat seats, 23 Republican, one independent). Voters will also choose 35 Senate seats. Of these 21 are held by Democrats and 14 are with Republicans.
November 19 — Solomon Islands
Around 290,000 registered voters of Solomon Islands are eligible to cast their ballot on November 19, the first time the Pacific nation goes to vote since a peacekeeping operation ended.
November 22 — Bahrain
Though King Hamad of this tiny Gulf state has announced November 22 as the date for electing a new parliament, the polls are mired in uncertainty as the Shia-led opposition groups have called for a boycott. Elections on November 22 will be conducted for the current 40 seats from lower house of parliament. Municipal elections will also take place at the same time.

The incumbent Moncef Marzouki, National Constituent Assembly Chief Mustapha Ben Jaafar, and former premier Beji Caid Essebsi are among the main candidates as Tunisia is set to choose its president.

The parties to watch out for in the parliamentary polls are the Communists and the pro-Europe liberal alliance.
