Maule experiences a wonderful Mediterranean climate of wet winters and hot summers, which is the prime reason for large number of tourists coming to spend quality time in this region. Communication is not a problem as there are plenty of interregional buses running throughout the region of Maule.

Maule Provinces in Chile

Curico is one of the main provinces of Maule and features lofty mountains interrupted with verdant valleys. The Talca province is also one of the main valleys of Maule Region City of Talca was earlier destroyed by earthquakes several times. Talca, the capital city of Maule, has a booming economy with agriculture, manufacturing and grape growing as the main activities.

The Linares province in Maule is located between the Maule Rivers, Andes Mountains and the valley of Cauquenes. Scrubs and grasses are the main vegetative growths of this area. Boldo and willow forests are found in the eastern part of the province. Achibueno, Ancoa, Longavi, Melado, Maule, Perquilauquen, Loncomilla and Putagan are the main rivers of this province. Cauquenes province is situated just at the southwestern part of the Maule region.
