Tomato and garlic are mainly used in most of the mouthwatering Chile recipe. Chilean food is different from the common Mexican dishes as hot Chili is not used very much.

Empanada de Pino is a mouthwatering dish of diced meat, raisins, onions olive and hard boiled egg. All the ingredients are baked in plain or earthen oven. Pastel de Choclo is a summer dish in Chile and is made of meat, corn, chopped onions chicken, hard boiled eggs and olive raisins. The recipe is similar to shepherd pie. Carbonada is a delicious meat soup made with all kinds of vegetables like potatoes, carrots, onions and broccoli. Finally it is seasoned with pepper and parsley.

One of the main characteristics of Chilean Cuisine is the wide use of seafood. The presence of wide coastlines in Chile has made the presence of fish in all the major recipes. Lmejas con Limon is a dish of raw clams with lemon juice. Caldillo de Congrio is a soup of conger-eel, onions, potatoes and carrots.

Empanada de Marisco is a dish served with chopped seafood and onions. Mariscal is a cold soup of all types of seafood. Chilean sandwiches are also very tasty and mostly eaten as snack.

Chile recipes are an important part of the gastronomical culture of the country.
