Armenia is a country surrounded by land on all sides. Turkey falls on the western side of Armenia and Georgia on the northern. There are quite a number of regions of Armenia which altogether forms the country of Armenia. There are some famous Armenian regions which should be visited while on a trip to this spectacular land.

  • Aragatsotn – The administrative center of this region is Ashtarak. Aragatsotn is featured by beautiful hills. This region cover the views of Mount Aragats. It is one of the famous regions in Armenia.
  • Ararat – It is one of the regions of Armenia known for its spellbinding natural beauty and unobtainable height. The Armenians are greatly influenced by the depth of the panoramic Mt Ararat. The administrative center of Ararat is Artashat.
  • Armavir – Considered as a symbolic representation of memory and hope, this region lies in between the mountain of Aragats and Mt Ararat. The lowlands of this region of Armenia are very fertile.
  • Gegharkunik – It is constellated with mountains along with the provision of the sunny shores of Lake Sevan. Gegharkunik is full of rich culture and unlimited beauties. It covers an area of 4058 square kilometre and Gavar is its administrative center.
  • Kotayk – Famous monuments are found in this region and known for its amazing nature.
  • Lori – Fabulous mountain ranges are found in this region. Vandazor is its administrative center.

These regions of Armenia adds more beauty to the country, attracting thousands of tourists for ultimate enjoyment.
