  • Turkey – 12.4 million metric tons
  • United States – 12.3 million metric tons
  • Egypt – 10.4 million metric tons
  • Iran – 8.4 million metric tons
  • Italy – 5.6 million metric tons
  • Brazil – 5.5 million metric tons
  • Spain – 5.1 million metric tons
  • Mexico – 4.7 million metric tons
