Worcester is a city in the U.S state of Massachusetts. The first settlement in the city was seen in 1673 and was officially incorporated in 1684. In 1722, the city was established as a town and was charted as a city in 1848. The city is the center of manufacturing, research and biotechnology. It is now the second-largest city in Massachusetts and the county seat of Worcester County.
