Merrimack River
Merrimack River is 110 miles long and flows in northeastern USA as per the Massachusetts River map. It starts at the meeting point of Winnipesauke and Pemigewasset rivers at Franklin in New Hampshire. Massachusetts is at the southern end of this river, which empties at the Atlantic Ocean in Newburyport.
Saugus River
Saugus River is 13 miles long and its source lies in Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, which is at an elevation of 90 feet. It passes through Wakefield, Saugus, Lynnfield and Lynn. Its mouth is at Boston Broad Sound. It has a minimum of 8 tributaries – Mill River, Crystal Pond Brook, Bennets Pond Brook, Beaver Dam Brook, Pines River, Strawberry Brook, Hawkes Brook and Shute Brook.
Jones River
The length of Jones River is 7.5 miles and it runs through Kingston, Massachusetts. It drains almost 30 square miles and its source is in Silver Lake. It ends at the Kingston Bay. 52% of the land surrounding this river is forested. 22% of this area has now been made fit for residential purposes.
Mitchell River
Mitchell River has a length of 1.5 miles. It is located at Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Pod. It can be described as an estuary that connects Stage Harbour to Mill Pond.
