This building initially served as a Gothic cathedral, but with the passing of several centuries, the designs of this stunning structure went through significant modifications, and the finished Duomo di Milano at present is a strange amalgam of various distinct magnificent styles.

The interior of this startling structure is lofty and somewhat gloomy when compared with its dazzling exterior. Its vast spaces are predominated by large stained-glass windows. The Milan Cathedral has four aisles. The ranks of confessional boxes are marked with opening times and also bear the name of the father confessor.
