Estadio Beira-Rio is located in Porto Alegre in the southern part of Brazil. It is home to a famous local club – Sport Club Internacional. This stadium will host 5 matches in FIFA 2014. This is the largest football ground in South Brazil and is officially known as Estadio Jose Pinheiro Borda (nickname – “Gigante do Beira-Rio”). This stadium was officially opened in the year 1969. Major revamping to Estadio Beira-Rio has been done by the club itself through the ‘A Giant for all time’ program.
