Saudi Arabia Weather is more or less uniform throughout the country with a few exceptions in the coastal regions. The vast stretch of deserts and rugged mountains dictate the harsh climatic conditions, which prevail throughout the region. The day temperature in many parts of the deserts might rise to 55° C and the night temperature might drop to as low as 8° C. The humidity content in the air is very low. Rainfall is scarce and they occur in small gusts of shower, which is not enough to sober the harsh weather conditions of Saudi Arabia.

The desert regions experience not only the dry weather and the extremes of temperature, but also desert storms. These desert storms can be a real challenge to people who are caught in them, as these storms last for days. The deserts of Saudi Arabia are characterized by huge sand dunes, as tall as ninety meters. These sand storms are caused by the tropical continental winds, which blow from the southern part of Saudi Arabia.

Relatively tolerant Saudi Arabia weather is experienced in the inner highland and plateau regions. The climate is cooler in these parts and rainfall is more frequent. Rainfalls in most parts of Saudi Arabia occur due to the tropical winds of the west and southwest. Most of the rainfall in Saudi Arabia occurs during the summer months.
