Education in Qatar
Qatar Education is controlled by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. The Education city is located at Doha, the capital city and covers an area of 14 million square meters.
This Qatar Education city holds an exclusive system of education with institutes offering courses from schooling till the research level. It also has various branches of some of the leading universities of the world. This Qatar Education is the center of excellence in Qatar and it instructs students mainly in the critical GCC region. This forum also provides opportunities to different universities in order to share research facilities as well as improving relationships with different institutions and business sectors in the public and private sectors.
The major US Universities having branches at the Education city in Qatar are Virginia Commonwealth University, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Georgetown University and Carnegie Mellon University. The University of Calgary, a Canadian university also has its opening at Qatar.
