World Map Projections
World projection maps provides map made in various projection styles.

Earth is spherical, while a map is flat. Hence, map projections are necessary to depict the earth’s surface on a flat surface.
Flat maps have to use a projection style to display the earth’s spherical features. All projection styles distort the proper shape of the earth’s land and water masses in some way.
