Khumjung is placed at an altitude of three thousand five hundred and fourteen meters above the sea level which is equivalent to 11532 feet. The latitude of Khumjung measures 27° 49′ 60”N and the longitude is equal to 86° 43’E.

Khumjung is enveloped by the city of Phorcha and Thyangboche on the eastern regions, Namche Bazaar on its southern areas and the cities of Hilajug, Samde and Thangmoche are on its western peripheries.
