Chukung is the name of a valley, a ridge as well as a village in the country of Nepal. The Chukung village is located over the southern regions of Mt Everest among the Himalayan ranges.

The Chukung valley is placed over the slopes of the Nupse and Lhotse peaks in the southern parts of the country. The Lho glacier and the Nup Glacier cover the southern regions of Chukung in Nepal. Chukung valley is enveloped by the western slopes of the Baruntse peak and the Cho Polu peak.

The Imja Glaciers cover the western borders of Chukung at Nepal, while the northern slopes are captured by the Mount Ama Dablam of the Ama Dablam Glacier and the Chukung Glacier. The village of Dingboche is situated ion the western locales of Chukung of Nepal, which is also the meeting point of Chukung and Pheriche Valley. The river of Imja flows by the Chukung Valley.

Chukung Ri is a very important ridge located at an altitude of five thousand five hundred and forty meters above the sea level, equivalent to 18196 feet. The Chukung Ridge is places right above Chukung Valley on the southern borders of the Mount Lhotse. The mountain trekkers assent this ridge as conditioning climbing. Chukung comes under the Rasuwa district in the Bagmati zone.
