Mangochi is a small city of the southern parts of Malawi. It was also known as “Fort Johnston” in the colonial times.

The latitude of the city is 140 29 south and the longitude is 350 15 east. One of the main attractions of the city is the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mangochi.

The Mangochi city has an airport with a runway of six hundred and seventy one meters. Though there are few hotels in Mangochi but the Sunbird Nkopolo Lodge is one of the most prominent hotels of the city. This two star hotel in Mangochi is very popular among the tourists and has a total of fifty-five rooms.

The city Mangochi is a very small town of the country.
