Qatar Latitude and Longitude Map

The latitude and longitude of Qatar is 25º 30' N and 51º 15' E respectively. It is located in Middle East and lies on the peninsula bordering the Persian Gulf and Saudi Arabia.
The total area is slightly smaller than that of Connecticut. Doha, the capital, lies within 25º 17' N and 51º 32' E latitude and longitude respectively. Qatar comprises of 10 municipalities and is eight hours ahead of Washington DC during Standard Time.

The total area of Qatar is 11,437 square kilometers with a coastline extending up to 563 kilometers. The terrain comprises of flat and barren desert which is covered with loose sand and gravel. The climate of Qatar is mainly of arid type with pleasant winters but extremely hot and humid summers. During the summer months, haze, dust storms and sandstorms are quite common in this desert region. The limited amount of natural freshwater resource is the primary environmental concern of Qatar.
