Djibouti Airlines is based in the country of Djibouti. Djibouti Airlines has its major hub at the Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport, which is located in the city of Djibouti. Djibouti Airlines was established in the year 1996 on the 1st of February. Djibouti Airlines in Djibouti offers both regional as well as charter services to the passengers. Air Djibouti uses the wet leased aircraft and is actively provides services to the eastern regions of the African continent.

Djibouti Airlines initially started off as a low fare providing commuter service and was under the supervision of Captain Moussa Waberi who was also the chairman of the Djibouti Airlines at Djibouti. The airlines offered its very first services to Hargeisa and Dire Dawa with the help of Let L-410 UVP-E aircraft. Presently, Djibouti Airlines is under the ownership of Captain Moussa Waberi, along with other investors, who are the minor share holders in the company.

Djibouti Airlines presently offers both domestic flight services as well as international flight services across the globe. Some of the destinations that are being covered by the flight services offered by Djibouti Airlines include the cities of Addis Ababa, Boosaaso, Aden, Dire Dawa, Hargeisa, Dubai and Paris.
