Spread over an area of 11,014 km2, the Central Bohemian Region of Czech Republic encompasses a population of 1,135,795 as per the census data of the year of 2004. One of the important industrial hubs of the country, Central Bohemian Region is enodwed with a varied topography. Comprising of 12 districts and 71 towns, the region is headed by the honorable Governor Petr Bendl.

Endowed with natural scenic beauty, Central Bohemian Region is blessed with several places of tourists importance. Tok Hill, placed at a height of 846 meter offers a panoramic view of the region. The swift flowing River Elbe, vast resource of forest wealth and exotic mountain ranges add to the glory of the region.

The history of Central Bohemian Region dates back to the pre historical times of the Stone Age. The splendid monuments and castles of the area bear relics to the architecturally rich ancestry of the area of Central Bohemian Region.
