We all need a break from our stagnant routines, but due to time and budget crunches, not all of us can go snorkelling or sky diving whenever we wish. Chimelong water park in Guangzhou, China received the maximum visitors in 2017. Covering an area of almost 75 acres, the water park has remained the most visited since 2013. The turnout for last year was whopping 26 million. Clean, safe and exciting water experience is what drives people from all around the world. There are numerous high-speed slides, racing slides, tornado, boomerango, and specific children based rides like Children’s Play Land, and Glacier Tunnel. Other water parks in China amid the top 20 are Kaifeng Yinji Water Park, Whuhu Fantawild water park and Shenyang Royal Ocean Park – Water World.
Typhoon Lagoon at Disney World in the United States of America had the second most number of attendees, with a total of 2.1 million. It is situated at the Walt Disney World Resort in the city of Orlando, Florida. The theme park sustains some of the wildest attractions including river raft rides which take you under the caves, and even through the rainforests. The entire area covers around 56 acres entailing abundance of thrill via its twisting tides and roaring rapids. There is another waterpark at the Disney World Resort called Blizzard Beach which had a turnover of 1.9 million. Florida has two other water parks which stand amid the top ten for sustaining most number of visitors. How could Universal have not been amid those. Volcano Bay is themed around a 200-foot-tall volcano named “Krakatau’ and it opened only recently in May 25, 2017.The other famous water park of USA is Aquatica water park in Orlando which was visited by 1.3 million people last year.
