Romania EU was incorporated in the European Union in 1st January, in the year 2007. The date of the incorporation of Romania in the EU was fixed in the Summit held at Thessaloniki in the year 2003. The news of Romania EU was confirmed on 18th June in the year 2004 in Brussels.
According to the president of the Commission, the country of Romania had made considerable amount of progress in all the areas and so it was eligible to be incorporated in the European Union. Romania was ready to take on the obligations and the rights of the European Union.
The inclusion of Romania in EU was very crucial to the country. After the inclusion, the economy of Romania of the country increased very much and the financial conditions of the country in relation to the other countries also started increasing by leaps and bounds.
The public opinion polls in Romania were in the favor of inclusion of the country in the European Union. Near about 70 percent of the total Romanian population were in the favor of the idea that Romania should be accessed into the European Union.
The effect of this inclusion would definitely be positive and Romania would be favored by the EU’s policies. The geo-political location of the country would surely influence the policies and plans of the European Union to the relation with Romania with all the other parts of Eastern Europe, Turkey, Middle East, and Asia.
