Pakistan Flag


Pakistan Flag was acquired in the year 1947 on the 14th of August. Pakistan was proclaimed independent on the 14th of August and thereby their national flag was also hoisted on that eventful day by the Pakistani freedom fighters and nationalists. The Pakistani flag was specially planned and configured by Ameer-ud-din Khidwai.

SIGNIFICANCE OF PAKISTANI FLAG

The colors used in the flag of Pakistan have its own significance. The colors used in the Pakistan flag are green and white. The white color signifies the minority of the nation and the green color signified the majority Muslims of the nation. The crescent shaped moon has its own importance within the Pakistan flag. This moon symbolizes the progression of the Islamic country and a star with five points just beside the moon signifies enlightenment and knowledge. The star is a noted iconography in the religion of Islam. The basic height of the Pakistani flag is almost two-thirds its actual width.

HOISTING OF THE PAKISTAN FLAG

The national flag of Pakistan is hoisted on important days such as the independence day of Pakistan, which is on the 14th of August, Pakistan day on the 23rd of March, Madar-e-Millat's birthday and on several other occasions of national importance.
