One of the most important
national symbols of Lithuania is the white knight (Vytis). An armored knight is seen holding a silver sword above his head. Two gold cross is featured on the blue shield hanging from the left shoulder of the knight. In 1366, the charging knight was used to be considered as the national emblem of Lithuania. Presently, Algirdas, the Grand Duke of Lithuania features Vytis which is regarded as the national symbol of the nation. The Vytis features a charging knight holding a sword on a horse back. This symbol passed through generation after generation.
The country's name "Lithuania" is derived from the word "Lietauka" a rivulet. The name "Lietuva" is also regarded as the national symbol of Lithuania. The land of Lithuania is named after the river and is now known as the State of Lithuania.
The national song of Lithuania is another important national emblem of Lithuania. The figure of Grazina situated on the courtyard of the Lithuania parliament is considered to be the
