The use of the double headed eagle has a history associated with it. A Christian Albanian, George Castriota led the Albanian army in their fight against the Turks and he used the same flag and the double headed eagle in his seals also. This general whose real name is Iskander Bey or Skanderberg, is a great historical figure in Albanian history.
