The origin of the game of
football in Czech dates back to the 19th Century and it was in the year 1887 that the first football match in the country took place. Soon in the year 1893, AC Sparta Praha, the most famous football club was established. Two years later the famous football Club of Slavia was established. Finally in the year 1901 the Czech Football Association was created which, till date, is the supreme most body that supervises football in Czech. The Czech Football Association became a member if the Fédération Internationale de Football Association or FIFA in the year 1907.
The Football Association of the Czech Republic organizes all the major tournaments of
football in Czech. The football leagues of Gambrinus liga and 2. liga are major events that are organized by the Football Association of the Czech Republic.
