Madison is the capital of Wisconsin, a state in the United States of America. Known as ‘The City of Four Lakes’, Madison is surrounded with Lake Mendota, Lake Monona, Lake Wingra and Lake Waubesa. The city is regarded as the fastest growing in Wisconsin and one of the fastest within the United States. It was created as a result of the purchase of over a thousand acres by James Duane Dotyin- a former federal judge in 1836. It also serves as home to the University of Wisconsin. The Milwaukee & Mississippi Railroad has been linked to Madison. Since its inception as a city in 1856, Madison grew further to become the second largest city in the state. It is also the county seat of Dane County and the neighboring Iowa and Columbia counties.

Madison’s economy evolves from consumer services and high-tech base, particularly in the health, biotech and advertising sectors. The city experienced a steady economic boom in 1990s and the city’s south and west sides received the maximum expansion.
