New York is a big state and have various splendid tourist destinations including world famous Statue of Liberty.

New York attracts millions of tourists every year. It is divided into eleven major tourism regions. Major destinations include the Empire State Building, Ellis Island, and Broadway theatre productions. It is home to the famous Niagara Falls, and has more than 7,600 freshwater lakes, ponds and reservoirs.

Rockaway Beach, Queens :

Rockaway Beach is located on the South Shore of Long Island. It is neighbored by Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, one of the borough of New York City. It is the largest urban beach in the United States. It is maintained by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. It was once known as the “Irish Riviera” because of the large population of Irish Americans in the area.

Statue of Liberty :

The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship to the people of America from France. It has become a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. It was dedicated on October 28, 1886 and was designated as a National Monument in 1924. It is located on the Liberty Island, New York.

Adirondack Mountains :

Adirondack Mountains are mountain range located in the northeastern part of New York. During the summers, it offers adventurous sports such as hiking while in winters it is famous for skiing, ice climbing, etc. It features high mountain peaks, clear blue lakes and ponds, lush forests and was home to two winter Olympics.

Central Park :

Central Park is in the center of Manhattan, New York City. It was created in 1857 and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1963. It receives thirty five million visitors every year. The park is almost entirely landscaped and has many man-made lakes and ponds.
