Alaska is the largest state in the USA but does not have a huge population. Nevertheless, Alaska airports receive a number of people annually from all over the world such as the international airport in Juneau, the capital of Alaska.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska is essential as Anchorage is the largest city of the state. The airport is up-to-date with all the necessary technological innovations. The major airlines that operate from this airport include:

According to the records of Federal Aviation Administration, the airport has had 18,526 passenger boardings (enplanements) in the calendar year 2008, 16,255 in the year 2009 and 16,394 in the year 2010. The airport is also included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for the year 2011-2015 and has been categorized as a primary commercial service airport.

Another brilliant airport in Alaska is the Dillingham Airport, which is a state owned, public use airport located two nautical miles west of the central business district of Dillingham. The airport has the scheduled passenger service and has had 32,215 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008. Also, the airport is listed in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011-2015 and categorized as a primary commercial service airport with more than 10,000 enplanements on a per year basis.

Gustavus Airport is also a state owned, public use airport located in Gustavus, a city in the Hoonah-Angoon Census Area of the US state of Alaska. The airport has a scheduled airline service which has been subsidized by the Essential Air Service program. Additionally, the Gustavus Airport has also been categorized as a non-primary commercial service airport and included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2015-2019. The airport covers an area of 1,821 acres at an elevation of 35 feet above mean sea level.
