US Interstate 5 highway Map

Interstate 5, popularly abbreviated as 1-5, is the main highway on the west coast of the US, running alongside the Pacific from Washington to California and serving most of the large cities on the western side of the US, including Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles and Portland. It also links the capitals of California (Sacramento), Oregon (Salem) and Washington (Olympia) together.

Extent of I-5 Highway

US interstate highway map shows that the northern end of the interstate system is at the border between Canada and the US at the Peace Arch in Blaine, Washington. Its Southern end is at the border between Mexico and the United States San Diego, California.

Interstate 5, is the only highway in the US that touches both the Mexican and Canadian borders. At its southern end, interstate 5 continues into Tijuana as Mexico Federal-Highway 1. On the Northern end, it continues into Vancouver (Canada) as Highway 99.
