The best time to visit Glacier National Park is throughout the year but for fishing, one can go during July and for river rafting early to mid of July. In Yellowstone National park, every winter, guided snow coaches or snowmobile tours are held.

If one is into biking on the going to the Sun Road before it opens to vehicle traffic, then May through mid-June is the best time to visit Glacier National park, Montana. But as per the current situation, it is best to check the National Park Service website for specific and timely information.

The best thing is to secure tickets months in advance to ensure a smooth and hassle-free trip. Certain permits may be needed to be obtained in advance so checking schedules and then planning is always advised.
