The iconic landmark of the Riverside Museum, sited on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow has been built upon the location of the former Inglis Shipyard. The Scotland’s Museum of Transport and Travel has been honored with the European Museum of the Year award in 2013. Exhibiting world-class transportation and technology, the museum is an expose of Glasgow’s rich past, from the era of its maritime adventures till mid-20th century Glasgow. The exhibits in the form of Prams, skateboards, locomotives, automobiles, bicycles, velocipedes, voiturettes, vintage cars, trams, Stormtrooper, and ships, seem to bring the history of Glasgow to life.

The museum is not just a place to roam and see some of the permanent exhibits, rather it is a place that can be made a hub of entertainment, tailored to suit your needs. With a capacity to accommodate 10,000 people, the Events Square can be used to conduct private events like weddings, private dinners, cocktail receptions. Other events that can be scheduled here include corporate events such as meetings, seminars, workshops, corporate galas, music concerts, filming and photography, and trade shows.

The Main Street is a replica of a particular Glasgow Street during the years between 1895 and 1930. It has shopfronts, a subway station, and distinctive vehicles of the period. This space is often used to conduct standing receptions for about 120 guests.

From the Boardroom, the visitors can enjoy exceptional views of the Rivers Clyde and Kelvin. With the capacity to accommodate about 20 to 35 guests, the boardroom is an ideal place to conduct private meetings. There is another place in the museum where you can conduct meetings. Named as the Education Suite, this section offers a larger meeting room for up to 60 guests.

The Café, located on the ground floor of the museum offers panoramic views of the river. The guests can enjoy hot and cold breakfast, lunch, and even afternoon tea at the café. If you wish to take a short break while visiting the exhibits, you can choose to refresh yourself by drinking tea, coffees, or soft drinks, along with a wide selection of sandwiches, snacks, and cakes, served at the Coffee Stop, located on the first floor.

Moored on the River Clyde next to the museum, The Tall Ship – Glenlee, is a must-visit tourist attraction. The ship can be visited for several purposes, including recreation, learning, and private and corporate meetings.
