Abitino’s Pizzeria – A quick review

Abitino’s Pizzeria – Manhattan

They claim that they make the only pizza which is worth eating. In a city like New York making this claim needs a certain degree of confidence and a certain degree of wickedness. Yes, you need to be wicked because you are undermining all others in one stroke. A ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ kind of a place, you can land up here either on a friend’s recommendation or if you are too hungry and would love to walk into the first place you see and grab anything which comes by.

The place looks between ordinary and functional, but Pizza slices and antipasto were good. I liked the fresh ingredients and that there were loads of them over less cheese. I also liked their Eggplant Rollatini  and Chicken Roll.  I would not go to New York for having a slice of pizza here or having that chicken roll which I devoured, but I am sure that, on my next trip, dropping by with my family and friends would be on the cards. Of course, who goes to the McDonald’s next door is an interesting topic for a marketing case study.
