Enjoy lounging by the pool while taking in the spectacular views of the Nile River onboard the Oberoi Zahra.

If you’re looking for a holiday experience that combines Egypt’s vast and glorious history with relaxation, then the Oberoi Zahra Luxury Nile Cruise is for you.

Most cruises on the Nile pack a busy itinerary into 3-4 days leaving guests with little time before the next day of sightseeing. The Oberoi Zahra cruises run for 7 days giving guests the chance to both explore and recuperate.

Compared to the other cruise vessels, the Oberoi Zahra has a much smaller occupancy but that makes it far more intimate. There are 25 cabins and two suites, all of which feature magnificent views of the Nile and feature Wifi and a 24-hour butler service. The cabins are spread over 30 square metres with minimalist décor while the suites are about double the size with a separate living room and a private terrace and a jacuzzi. Whether in a suite or a cabin, the Oberoi Zahra is by far the most luxurious boat on the Nile.

It’s also the only cruise on the Nile with a spa facility. There are four therapy rooms along with a private shower and steam room. If you really want to pamper yourself, a morning of sightseeing followed by a treatment in the afternoon is the way to go! In addition, there’s also a rooftop swimming pool, gym, games room, library and theater.

The food on board is great too with different international gourmet meals served everyday.

When it comes to sightseeing, the Oberoi Zahra has some of the best Egyptologists on board to guide you through the temples and sites along the way. Below is a quick overview of the tour:

  • Three nights in Cairo
  • A visit to Aswan’s High Dam and Philae Temple
  • An optional trip to Abu Simbel by air
  • A Sound and Light show at Philae Temple
  • A visit to the twin temples at Kom Ombo
  • Explore the temple of Karnak and Luxor’s West Bank
  • Visit to the Temple of Dendara
