Islamic Countries in the World
Islamic Country : The Mullahs and Islamic priests have their own set of guidelines. They define their own customs, faith, as well as social/economic/civil laws and an Islamic country is bound to abide by these guidelines. As per the Islamic norms, alcohol consumption, idol worship, ladies wearing western clothes, among the others are often defined as punishable offences and hence are banned too. An Islamic Country also follows the Sharia laws conscientiously.

What are Islamic countries
An Islamic State/Nation is a type of government in which the primary basis for government is Islamic religious law (Sharia). Sharia law guides all aspects of life like political, family matters, judiciary. This constitutes the first category of countries where Sharia law applies fully.
The second category depicted is countries where Sharia law applies partially. For instance, it can apply to only Muslim sections of a country or it can be applied to Muslim majority areas/provinces or in some cases applied to personal matters (like marriage, divorce) only.
