7.0 magnitude earthquake hits Solomon Islands
Nov 19, 2015 - A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Solomon Islands in South Pacific; however, no Tsunami is expected. According to media reports, the quake struck 119 kms (73 miles) southwest of Dadali in Pacific Solomon Islands. Reportedly, the tremor struck at 2:31 am local time (GMT 18:31). No casualties have been reported yet.

Aug 10, 2015 - A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Solomon Islands on Monday. According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake struck some 186 km south-west of Dadali in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers. Commenting that it is not issuing a tsunami warning, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre in Hawaii said that the earthquake was not sufficient to generate a tsunami.
