It annually organizes the City fest, one of the largest public gatherings of Shelby County. This Fest, which began as a celebration of Alabaster's 50th birthday in 2003, has now grown into one of the most popular celebrations of the area. City Fest features live music performances, a large children's area with games, rides and other fun activities. Even the vendors get a chance to showcase and sell merchandise and food items.
