Aitkin is a city in Aitkin County, Minnesota, USA. It is the county seat of Aitkin county. The community was named after William Aitkin, a famous fur trader. The inviting lakes, vast expanse of charming woods, smell of burning campfires, and a host of recreational spots, make Aitkin a perfect place to spend ones weekend especially in autumn. Lake Mille Lacs is the largest lake of the area.
