The city of Abbeville is located in Louisiana state of the United States of America. It is the parish seat of Vermilion Parish and is at a distance of 150 miles from the city of New Orleans. It was founded in 1843 and named after the name of its founder's hometown (Abbeville) in France. This city is a part of the Cajun region in southern Louisiana.
