2. Central Indonesia Time (WITA)

3. Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT)

   Central Indonesia Time (WITA), which is nine hours ahead of GMT (UTC+9), is used in the easternmost part of Indonesia. This time zone covers Papua and the Maluku Islands. These regions, though less densely populated, boast rich natural resources and diverse cultures.
