Baseball is one of the most popular sports played in the United States. The sport is keenly followed and gets high television viewership. The history of the sport dates back to 1862 when the first professional team was founded in 1869 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since that time the sport has gained immense popularity and is played all over the country. The game is played at various levels in the country, with the highest level being Major League Baseball. Baseball is a game of strategy and athletic performance and can be tremendous fun to watch, particularly if you can attend a game at one of these top stadiums.

Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Globe Life Park is situated in the city of Arlington in Texas. The stadium, which lies between Fort Worth and Dallas is home to the Texas Rangers, a professional baseball team which competes in Major League Baseball. The Park has a seating capacity of 48,114 people. The stadium has seen several name changes. It was established in 1994 as The Ballpark in Arlington. In 2004, it was renamed as Ameriquest Field in Arlington following the purchase of the naming rights by Ameriquest. Another name change occurred in 2007, and it came to be called Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The name Globe Life Park in Arlington was granted in 2014 when the Globe Life and Accidents Insurance Company purchased the naming rights.

AT&T Park


Opened in 2000, AT&T Park is located in the San Franciscan neighborhood of South Beach. The stadium was originally known as the Pacific Bell Park, but, with the acquisition of Pacific Bell by SBC Communications it was renamed, SBC Park. Following the acquisition of SBC Communication by AT&T, the stadium got its present name of AT&T Park. The stadium has a seating capacity of 41,915 spectators and is the home of the San Francisco Giants. The stadium has also hosted non-baseball events such as football and soccer. Some of the leading bands and singers such as Green Day, the Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, and AC/DC have also performed at the stadium.

Busch Stadium

Busch Stadium is located in St Louis, in Missouri. The stadium has a seating capacity for 45,259 spectators. The city is home to one of the leading Major League Baseball franchise, St Louis Cardinals. The stadium comprises 61 luxury suites and around 3,706 club seats. On May 23rd, 2013, a match between Chelsea Football Club and Manchester City Football Club saw an attendance of 48,263 people, The stadium has also hosted professional soccer, professional hockey, college football, along with many concerts.

Guaranteed Rate Field

Located in the city of Chicago in Illinois, Guaranteed Rate Filed is the home of the Chicago White Sox. The stadium was initially named Comiskey Park but in 2003 came to be known as US Cellular Field after US Cellular purchased the naming rights. Following the purchase of the naming rights by Guaranteed Rate, a private residential mortgage company, the stadium got its present name. Constructed at a cost of $137 million, the stadium has a seating capacity for 40,615 people.

Miller Park

Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Miller Park is the home of Milwaukee Brewers. The seating capacity of Miller Park is 41,900 people. The stadium became operational in 2001. One of the attractions of Miller Park is its fan-shaped convertible roof. In North America, only Miller Park has this capability. The roof can open and close in under 10 minutes. Apart from baseball, some other sports played at Miller Park are football and soccer. It has also hosted concerts by notable bands and musicians.

Safeco Field

Safeco Field is a prominent baseball stadium located in Seattle, Washington. It is a retractable roof baseball park and has a retractable umbrella, which means that despite the roof being closed the sides are open, allowing players to play in the rain. The stadium became operational in 1999 and currently has a seating capacity for 47,715 spectators. Apart from baseball, other events have also been held such as 2001 Seattle Bowl and the 2003 WrestleMania XIX.

Petco Park

Petco Park is located in San Diego, California. The stadium opened in 2004 and is home to the San Diego Padres. The stadium has a seating capacity for 40,209 people. Though the stadium is mainly for baseball. Other sports and events have also been hosted here such as rugby, tennis, Monster Jam and AMA Supercross Championship, basketball, among others.

The stadium is home to the Baltimore Orioles and many notable games have been played here. The stadium witnessed a record attendance of 49,828 people on July 10, 2005.
