A total of 781 passengers from the Westerdam cruise ship are closer to returning home after Cambodian health authorities said they had tested negative for the novel coronavirus. The Westerdam was able to berth in Cambodia. At the time, no cases of the virus had been reported aboard the ship.

South Korea’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention has announced there have been 15 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the country. According to the latest update, 13 of the new cases are from the Daegu area in the country’s southeast. The total number of confirmed novel coronavirus cases in South Korea is now 46.

Canada to send its charter plane to Tokyo on Wednesday

A charter plane hired by the Canadian government is due to arrive in Tokyo on Wednesday, according to a government email sent to passengers on board the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Passengers who get on the flight will have to undergo a further 14-day quarantine once they arrive in Canada.
