At the second spot was Brazil, which had 13.5 percent of the total plastic surgeons. China was at a distant third with 6.9 percent of the total plastic surgeons.
Japan and South Korea stood at the fourth and fifth spots with 5.5 percent and 5.3 percent of the total plastic surgeons. India has lately become a popular destination for plastic surgery. Here the total percentage of plastic surgeons stood at 5.3. The total plastic surgeons in Russia, Mexico, Turkey, and Germany, were 4.9, 3.8, 2.9 and 2.7, percent, respectively.
The other five nations among the list of the top 15 nations with the highest percentage of plastic surgeons were Colombia, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Italy. In 2015, the total plastic surgeons in Colombia, France, and Spain stood at 2.3 percent each, while in the United Kingdom and Italy the percentage was 2.1 and 2, respectively.
