Interstate 26 runs through three states of the United States – Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. Interstate 26 begins from the junction of US Route 11W and US Route 23 located in the city of Kingsport in Tennessee and goes on to Route 17 in the South Carolina city of Charleston. As the part from Mars Hill in North Carolina, east to Interstate 240 in Asheville in North Carolina, does not meet Interstate standards, it has been signed as Future I-26.States and cities along Interstate 26
